GIZ – German Development Co-Operation

The GIZ of German Development Co-operation is an Agency that works for sustainable economic development and job creation accross the country. It supports Ghana in a joint effort to keep economic growth sustainable and inclusive. It supports national government, local authorities and private sector organization to effectively reform the business environment and to agree upon policy priorities in an informed puplic-private dialogue. CUA collaboration with GIZ began in July 1st 2010. The core of the cooperation has been the support by five (5) Technical Advisors from Germany with different professional backgrounds who work in a team with a expert from CUA in the fields of Internal Communication/MIS, General Risk Management (GRM), Marketing/PR and as advisors attached to the Northern and Western Regions to assist in developing five model credit unions each and later to extend the services to other regions.
