Mrs. Esther Agyekum is a Teacher and Human Resource expert by profession. She holds a MA in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Coast. She also holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from the Sunyani Polytechnic; now Sunyani Technical University and a Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ from the Agogo Presbyterian Women Training College.

With reputable teaching experience, Mrs. Agyekum was re-posted to the Berekum Municipal Education Office (Brong Ahafo) in 2011 as the Procurement Officer. She currently serves as the Personnel Officer for the Berekum Municipal Education Directorate.

She aspires to chalk higher academic laurels as a result-oriented decision maker, as well as support to improve vulnerable groups in society, especially women.

Mrs. Agyekum joined the Berekum Area Teachers Co-operative Union in 2011 as a member. As a motivated self‐starter with experience in Business Administration and proven ability to work with difficult situations to provide a high level of service to members, she became a Board member and the Board Chair of the Berekum Area Teachers Co-operative Credit Union in 2014 and 2020 respectively.

As the current Chairperson for the Berekum Area Teachers Cooperative Credit Union, Mrs. Agyekum also doubles as the current Chairperson of the Brong Ahafo Chapter and the Second National Vice Chairperson of the Ghana Co-operatives Credit Unions Association.

Mrs. Agyekum is married to Mr. Anane Tabiri with two (2) daughters (Afia and Yaa).
